Excellent stay in Atami Sekitei with family. The service was amazing (special kudos to Mariko but also the rest of the staff). The food was also amazing. Overall a great experience that I would recommend to anyone.
Note: this was our first ryokan experience, so I don’t have much of a baseline to compare against. That said...it was fantastic!||||We stayed here one night at the end of a busy trip to Japan with the goal of unwinding and relaxing before …
This place was awesome. There was a private open air heated bath outside the room. Cost up to $700 per night back in 2017. Very nice exterior garden for a stroll. They provided a Kaiseki meal for dinner. Most of the meal tasted good but I did not care for the snail seafood. The clam was too chewy. Service was great and they were attentive. They also had a massage chair in the room. Very pricy and almost luxurious ryokan with your very own private onsen.
